Prasiolite s a green variety of quartz that symbolizes compassion, abundance, and self-reliance. It's also known as "Greened Amethyst" or Green Quartz.
Prasiolite is rare in nature. The only known natural source of gem-quality prasiolite was discovered in Brazil in the 1950s.
Zircon is one of the oldest minerals known and can be found throughout the earth's crust. It's often confused with diamonds because of its similar name and appearance, but zircon is not as hard and is more likely to crack or chip.
In the Middle Ages, zircon was believed to have many properties, including:
Warding off evil spirits
Promoting wisdom and wealth
Increasing ingenuity, glory, and wealth
Preventing travel-sickness
Bringing prosperity to its owner.
